Holocaust Remembrance Day, also known as Yom HaShoah, is an international day of commemoration for the victims of the Holocaust. It is observed on the 27th of Nisan in the Hebrew calendar, which usually falls in April or May. In 2025, Holocaust Remembrance Day will be observed on May 1st.
The Holocaust was a genocide in which Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered approximately six million Jews during World War II. The Holocaust is considered one of the most horrific crimes in human history.
