Wolverine is a popular superhero character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #181 (November 1974) and was created by writer Len Wein and artist John Romita Sr.. Wolverine is a mutant who possesses animal-like senses, enhanced physical abilities, and a regenerative healing factor. He is also known for his adamantium claws, which are virtually indestructible.
In 2013, a Wolverine video game was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. The game was developed by Raven Software and published by Activision. The game received mixed reviews from critics, but it was a commercial success, selling over 4 million copies worldwide.
